Designing and developing an AI-based tool that will support Air Traffic Controllers to manage arrival traffic in the most optimal manner regardless of the traffic load or complexity.
The EU-funded ORCI project aims to use AI based solutions to improve runway throughput resilience and efficiency, especially during periods of medium to very high traffic density. The project plans to develop an advanced automation tool for Terminal Maneuvering Areas. This tool will be based on an AI model trained on surveillance data and other data derived from air traffic control. The project will demonstrate and validate this solution, with the aim of improving efficiency and performance in arrival traffic management.
