Consortium

The ORCI consortium comprises 4 active organisations from 3 member states of the European Union. The partners were carefully selected according to the skills and experience required to accomplish the proposed work including two ANSP/ATC experts (ENAIRE, NAV-PT), ATM and AI experts (INECO) and AI, ATM concept assessment, and Validation platform experts (ISA).

ISA SOFTWARE

Project coordinator and validation leader

ISA, renowned developer of aviation software and modelling solutions, supports ATM simulation, validation, and bespoke concept analysis services around the globe.

INECO

Prototype Development and dissemination leader

INECO is an engineering and consulting Public Entity focused, in the scope of this proposal, on the air transport field, including ATM and airport operations and management for more than 25 years.

ENAIRE

ANSP

ENAIRE is the main provider of air navigation and aeronautical information services in Spain, the fourth in Europe by traffic volume, and one of the most important in the world.

NAV PT

ANSP

Navegação Aérea de Portugal – NAV Portugal, E.P.E., is responsible for providing Air Navigation Services in Portugal mainland and in the autonomous regions of Azores and Madeira

ROLES WITHIN THE PROJECT:

ISA provides expertise supporting the definition of Operational Requirements  and specifications for AI based conceptual solutions

INECO provides expertise in OSED production (i.e. use case and operational requirements) as well as in ATC domain

ENAIRE and NAV PT personnel will provide their expertise as ANSP to define the Operational Requirements needed for the AI Conceptual Framework, and provide the relevant surveillance data to train the tool models.

INECO has extensive experience in developing artifacts to process vast amount of data and in adapting real problems into parameters to further apply Artificial Intelligence techniques

Development/integration of interoperable software simulation and analysis platforms is one of the core businesses of ISA

ISA offers extensive experience and demonstrable success in the design, creation, and execution of ATM validation studies

INECO offers demonstrable experience (earlier than 2008) in planning, executing and reporting validation exercises

ATCOs from ENAIRE and NAV PT involved in the project will contribute to the definition of the validation scenarios and participate in the validation exercises

Based on decades of experience in the analysis of validation results, ISA and INECO will provide advanced data analytics to support KPI related to the study objectives.

Based on its personal experience in the validation exercises, ENAIRE and NAV PT ATCOs will provide their analysis and recommendations.
